L’Oréal, a global leader in the beauty industry, was the only beauty brand who participated in the 2024 Shanghai Carbon Neutralization Exhibition. L’Oréal presented the company’s strategy and innovation toward decarbonization.
Mr. Olivier Rousseau, CEO of SGD Pharma was invited to deliver a keynote speech to present how SGD Pharma supports L’Oréal to reduce its scope 3 carbon footprint with the SBTi approved plan of SGD Pharma to reduce its scope 1 and 2 carbon footprint by 35% between 2020 and 2030 and 65% between 2020 to 2040. Olivier presented several of the 70 actions implemented, included the 3R approach: Recycle, Re-use and Reduce. SGD Pharma is the glass maker in China to propose compliant recycled glass (PCR at 20%). SGD Pharma also launched the patented Eclipse range allowing consumers to re-use the packaging, and its Nova range offering 20% weight reduction.
